For All Festival Guests

Dear Ojai Storytelling Patrons:
We are so happy to be back live with the 20 th Ojai Storytelling Festival. Our
goal is to create a safe environment for everyone to enjoy our fabulous
storytellers at this year’s festival. We thought we would be much further along
safety-wise in terms of the virus, but the current uptick in numbers has made it
necessary to detail our Covid Protocols for this year’s festival. So here goes:

1. Proof of vaccination for all eligible individuals with either a vaccine card,
digital record or a completed Covid test within 3 days of the festival will
be required of all performers, audience members, volunteers and staff.
This does not apply to children under 12. Upon arrival at the festival, we
ask that you provide proof of your vaccination status or negative covid test.
Once that is accomplished, you will be issued a wristband to wear
throughout the festival to ensure easy access to all venues. Our
performance venues are outdoors, and social distancing is easily
accomplished, especially at Libbey Bowl. The Ojai Art Center is a much
smaller outdoor venue and you may need to wear a mask at certain
performances depending on the crowd size.

2. Please provide your own hand sanitizer for use during the festival and of
course bring a mask that meets CDC requirements. There will also be hand
sanitizers available at the festival and masks for those in need of one.

3. If you are attending a workshop indoors, we ask that you wear a mask.

We were hoping for a different situation in terms of Covid and the festival, but
these are the cards we were dealt. We believe that our large outdoor venues
make for a safe experience. Our staff will do everything they can to ensure that
your experience is enjoyable. With your help following these protocols as well as
others laid out by the CDC, this festival will be a winning as well as a healing
experience. Please note that these policies are subject to change as we adapt to
the evolving public health climate. We look forward to seeing you at the festival
and we know the storytellers are excited to be performing again in Ojai.
