Meet the Tellers and Raw and Unfiltered Tales with 2 Moth Winners:
Brian Finklestein, Ruby Cooper + Blind Boy Paxton, 
Anne Rutherford and Debra Ehrhardt

6:30 – 9:30pm, Ojai Art Center Patio

 

Our evening begins with each of the tellers sharing how they became a storyteller.  After these amazing stories Raw Tales begins. You no doubt have heard The Moth on NPR. Contemporary, hip and totally engaging, The Moth has garnered praise for its biting stories. The Ojai Storytelling Festival is pleased to present 2 winners of The Moth GrandSLAM in Los Angeles, along with storytellers Blind Boy Paxton, Anne Rutherford and Debra Ehrhardt, in a performance of personal stories for an adult audience.

WORKSHOP: Essential Stories  For Effective Communication with Tim Lowry

9:00 — 10:30am, Ojai Art Center Patio


Stories can communicate vision, goals, values, direction and purpose when strategically placed into personal presentations, advertising campaigns, socail media and one-on-one communication.  Learn to replace the sound bite with meaningful stories that show who your are and what you are doing.


All Tickets $20

WORKSHOP: Preserving Family Stories with Jennifer Munro

9:00 – 10:30am, Ojai House

 

Anyone who has a family will never lack for stories, and collecting them can be both rewarding and fun.  In this workshop, Jennifer will help participants craft family stories and share tips for how to make them come alive.

All Tickets $20

Not included in Festival Pass.

Naughty Tales Under the Stars on the Patio
8:30 – 10:00 pm, Ojai Art Center Patio

Get a babysitter and invite a little wildness into your life… This year's performers include Anne Rutherford, Debra Ehrhardt and Blind Boy Paxton. Includes dessert and coffee.
Wine can also be purchased at the event.
Must be 21 or older.

Seating for this event is reserved and can be chosen when purchasing online with Vendini ticketing - early purchase will ensure the best seats. NOTE: Each table seats 4 and if you'd like to sit with friends, purchase your seats at the same time. When ticketing online, select the table and seats you desire. Each table seats 4 people. Join Anne Rutherford for an exciting hands-on workshop. Experiment with quick ways to cut to the chase and deliver new stories with fresh impact.
