Internationally renowned in the puppetry field, and an award-winning performer, Hobey Ford is known for his excellence in puppetry performance and craft as well as his skill as a master storyteller. He designs and constructs all of his Golden Rod Puppets as well as the beautiful sets that surround them, and he performs his original works all over the world. His performances incorporate a variety of puppetry styles: Bunraku, rod marionettes, Foamies and shadow puppetry.
Hobey has received the highest awards for his brilliant and priceless contributions to the world of puppetry: two-time winner of puppetry’s highest honor, the UNIMA Citation of Excellence, recipient of three Jim Henson Foundation grants and The Hermitage Fellowship.

The Mitzvah is a three part program that dramatically explores the nature of prejudice through the interconnected lives of a Polish-Jewish Auschwitz survivor and a half-Jewish Wehrmacht officer who cross paths during the darkest days of the Holocaust performed by Elijah Alexander of the show The Chosen. The one person play is followed by a presentation by Mr. Alexander. He will share his own family's Holocaust story and examine the unique — and tragic — history that produced tens of thousands of half and quarter Jewish Wehrmacht soldiers (mostly junior and senior officers) who were the product of two centuries of German-Jewish assimilation, intermarriage, conversion and the striving of a people committed to calling the German Fatherland their home.The evening will end with a Q & A session with Mr. Alexander led by Performances to Grow On.

From the award winning writer of Jamaica Farewell, (produced by Rita Wilson and Garry Marshall) comes the new play, Look What Fell Out De Mango Tree. Directed by Oscar and Grammy winner Paul Williams, Look What Fell Out De Mango Tree is the mostly true story about the importance of forgiveness and the power of vulnerability. We follow Debra's story as she struggles to find love in spite of her tumultuous relationship with her father. Debra and Chris flash between past and present and give us a glimpse into her poignant yet hilarious years of serial monogamy and the ultimate discovery of a big secret that unlocks her ability to trust and forgive.
Directed by: Paul Williams-Although most well known for his songwriting career, Oscar & Grammy winning Hall of Fame Songwriter Paul Williams, began as an actor. Enjoying many roles and most recently appearing as JT, in the Netflix series, Goliath, with Billy Bob Thornton. He enjoyed working with Debra and Chris and is proud to share his insights in this new production.
